I spotted Ian on his bike with his dog Juniper at his side on Berry St near the McCarren Park tennis courts. I introduced myself to Ian and told him about my BikeNYC series. He agreed to let me take their portrait. The one who wasn’t so into the idea was Juniper – she kept squirming and whimpering, eager to get on with her walk/run. I finally managed to grab a frame with her in focus.
I didn’t want to keep them any longer than necessary, so we didn’t have a chance to talk about his bike. It looks like a Shogun racing bike, Japanese-made. Ian, if you’re reading this, feel free to tell us more about your bike in the comments.
