Jason Chupick and his Brompton

Jason Chupick is a VP of Public Relations at Harpers Magazine. He lives in Jersey City and commutes on the train to his office in NoHo. Before he got his Brompton folding bike, he would sometimes ride up to the George Washington Bridge and down the west side, but this obviously wasn’t practical for everyday bike commuting.

“The Brompton cuts off about 25 minutes from my commute, since I can now take the World Trade Center line. I zip down the Montgomery hill on the Jersey City side, and up Church/West Broadway on the Manhattan side. It also allows me to ride with my son every day to school. He’s a hardy little 4 year-old. We’ve only missed two days since I bought the bike in July due to bad weather. He rides a Strider push-bike. And the Brompton is ideal since it’s easy to hop on and off and help him cross the street safely. The Brompton is by far the best bike in terms of versatility and an extremely quick fold for someone who absolutely must take a train to commute.”

Photos were shot outside of Harper’s offices on Brodway and Bond.
