Saw these two on the 1st Ave bike path, around 34th St. Usually if someone is reticent in a parent/child photo situation, it’s the kid who gets suddenly camera shy. Here it was the other way around. The dad frankly wanted nothing to do with me, but left the decision up to his son. Fortunately, the kid was very into it. He also informed me of the purpose of their trip: “We’re going to get a Buzz Lightyear blaster!”.
