Genevieve Walker is the newest contributor to the cycling blog Velojoy. Susi Wunsch, who runs that site, asked me to take a bike portrait of Genevieve for her Velojoy profile page.
Genevieve moved to New York fairly recently from the Bay Area. She is a writer, illustrator, and graphic designer. Check out her site, and you will see that she is good at these things (check out these wedding maps!). She’s currently studying magazine writing at NYU.
We shot at and near Fort Greene Park. Genevieve brought Clayton to the shoot, so of course we did some couple shots, too. They moved to New York from California together, and both use their bikes for commuting; Genevieve on her Motobecane, Clayton on his Fuji. Most days you can find Clayton at the Genius Bar of the SoHo Apple store.
