Krys Blakemore works as a bike mechanic at 718 Cyclery, a bike shop in Park Slope that you should check out. She recently became a “sponsored rider” for Eighth Inch bikes. Which is a great gig, because it comes with a bike – the Eighth Inch Scrambler. With sponsored ridership comes great responsibility, one of which is providing photos of her and the newly assembled fixie. That’s where I came in. In addition to the “usual” bike portrait, I shot a few motion photos and some “bike porn” style closeups of the bike itself.
Krys is originally from North Carolina and has been working on bikes for a few years. She’s also a very talented artist and illustrator. Read more about Krys and 718 Cyclery here.
