Julian lives in Bushwick but runs an audio mastering studio in Greenpoint. His wife Devlin teaches music and theater to kids. Julian wrote to me back in December that he and Devlin “ride everywhere, hot, or cold. I don’t have a friend who takes good photos, so when I saw this on Prolly and saw your website, I got really excited! Nothing like a good photo of me and my bike, I thought.” Indeed! Julian just finished building his bike; love the colors and the yellow chain.
This was such a fun couple to photograph. I had to leave to go to a soccer game so we were a bit rushed, but I think we made the most of it. Julian suggested the location on Kingsland Ave in Greenpoint, and we both had the same idea of shooting in the roadway lined with tanker trucks.
