BikeNYC Portrait: Ryan

Ryan teaches science to elementary school kids. He commutes from Astoria, Queens to Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn on this Dutch beast (a WorkCycles Transport). The weather last Thursday was beautiful – it was nice to ride and chat through Astoria as we looked for a place to shoot. We tried a couple of locations but the late morning sun was a bit too harsh. Fortunately, the architecture of New York City gives you many opportunities to find acres of shade. In this case, we just hid under a bridge (the imposing Hell Gate Bridge).

And Ryan was kind enough to snap this photo of me while we were shooting. What a cool location. Thanks Ryan!
