I spotted Jeremy ferrying this painting on his bike in Greenwich Village. He had just bought it at a thrift store and was struggling a bit. Any decent person would have lent a hand; I opted to ask him to pose for a quick photo. Actually, he had a companion helping him out – and she was nice enough to watch my bike while I took the portrait. The importance of this cannot be overstated, as we were right at the edge of Washington Square Park. Seeing as this was a hit and run photo job, I didn’t have time to find out anything about his bike or riding habits. I trust he was able to get his new artwork home in one piece. I like that it seems to match his bike. I gave him my card so Jeremy, if you’re reading this, let us know how if it all worked out!
Seattle Guy - Tell us he bought a poster of an Alexander Calder at a thrift store…not an original painting?!?!?
Dmitry - Another good question!
