Tough Mudder Toronto 2012, Sunday, 9:30 AM. The first start wave of the day had just gone. I already began making my way to photograph one of the first obstacles when I saw that some stragglers were just making their way across the start line. It was this couple right here. Smiles on, taking their time.
One of the first obstacles on the course was Arctic Enema, a container filled with ice water with a barrier in the middle, forcing participants to fully submerge themselves to get across. I photographed the first wave going through the obstacle and stuck around, waiting for my couple.
A couple of minutes later, they came down the hill, already muddy from crawling under barbed wire.
Smiles still on. 11 miles to go. Wish I could have followed you guys through the whole course. Word on the Tough Mudder Facebook page is they finished to thundering cheers.
