Just got back from the second ever Tough Mudder Indiana at Badlands Offroad Park. At Tough Mudder Indiana 2011 last November, participants contended with high winds and temperatures in the 40s. This past Saturday, on the other hand, saw near-record highs in the mid-90s and blazing sun, followed by an afternoon lightning storm so fierce and prolonged that the event had to be suspended for safety reasons. The storm hung around the area the rest of the day and eventually dumped enough rain to flood the base area and force the cancellation of the Sunday leg. Here, then, are the highlights from Saturday.
