I’ve been super-busy at Sundance, so the promised blogging has been delayed, as I’m running from assignment to assignment for the Sundance Channel website. So far I’ve covered the festival opening party, a Robert Redford interview at the Sundance Channel Studios, a Q&A with Mary J Blige, a small concert by Estelle (remember “American Boy”?), the Directors Brunch hosted at the Sundance resort 45 minutes outside of Park City, and the premiere of The Comedy, the new Rick Alverson film about aging Williamsburg hipsters starring Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim, and James Murphy. Oh, and I somehow got to ride in a van with Tim and Eric to the premiere AND stay for the movie. I wasn’t sure I’d get to see a single film this week, so this was a nice surprise.
When not covering events, I’ve found a little time to walk around Park City and document some of the atmosphere and street fashion of the festival.
That’s the first 2 and a half days. Three full days to go…
Here are a couple of highlights. Lots more through the links above.
