I went over to our non-bicycle accessible City Hall to take a look and some photos.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">The rally featured several speakers (advocates, local politicians), and a big stack of 2,500 hand-written letters to Bloomberg urging the city to finish the job.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">I do hope that those lanes get extended. While I don&#8217;t think they&#8217;re the solution to all the issues faced by cyclists (the 1st Ave &#8220;protected&#8221; lane can feel like a death tunnel between 1st and 14th), having a bike lane that just ends randomly is pretty unserious.
