{"id":2277,"date":"2012-05-29T13:56:43","date_gmt":"2012-05-29T17:56:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gudphoto.com\/bikenyc\/?p=2277"},"modified":"2012-05-29T13:56:43","modified_gmt":"2012-05-29T17:56:43","slug":"bicycle-fetish-day-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gudphoto.com\/bikenyc\/2012\/05\/29\/bicycle-fetish-day-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Bicycle Fetish Day 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This past Saturday Mila and I attended the 6th annual Bicycle Fetish Day, a &#8220;block party for your bicycle&#8221; organized by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityreliquary.org\/8th-annual-bicycle-fetish-day-2012\/\" target=\"_blank\">City Reliquary<\/a>. In addition to the usual bicycle-themed art, advocacy, and accessory offerings, prizes were awarded for best vintage bike, best commuter bike, and so on. While the judging was, um, highly subjective, the event it was a good excuse for people with interesting bikes to show them off. Fortunately, despite being held in the heart of h*pster Williamsburg, the Bike Fetish party drew a variety of bike styles and subcultures, including the New York Classic Riders, a vintage Schwinn bicycle club out of Bushwick. I was familiar with these guys from the excellent photographs of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/arnade\/6238943600\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Arnade<\/a>, so it was great to snap a few
