At any given time, Jesse shares his 1-bedroom Williamsburg apartment with 4-5 bikes in various stages of assembly. And for a week or two each spring, his stretch of Havermeyer St looks like this.<\/p>\n

His girlfriend Emmy contacted me almost a year ago about doing a portrait of Jesse with “one of his other girlfriends” for his birthday. We couldn’t make our schedules work then. But 2012 is a new year, and Wednesday evening we finally made it happen.\u00a0Jesse agonized a bit before choosing this lovely\u00a0Ci\u00f6cc for the portrait.<\/p>\n

Spring has sprung!<\/p>\n
