John. Staten Island resident, avid cyclist. I caught up with him on a chilly Saturday morning in December, just as he was embarking on a weekend ride. Visit Staten Island on a bike and you’ll realize how good we cyclists in Brooklyn and Manhattan have it. Cars rule the road and drivers often seem surprised to see you riding in the street. Bike lanes are few<\/a>. As a result, you won’t find too many people who use a bike as their main mode of transportation.<\/p>\n
