Florencia is a writer working at the United Nations. Ron is an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn. Not only are they dedicated year-round bike commuters – they actually met in a bike lane. Florencia had just moved to New York City from London (where she got into city cycling) and didn’t know her way around very well. She was on her way home when her path was cut off by the Halloween parade on 6th Ave. Not knowing where to go, she turned to the only other cyclist there – Ron – for directions. They ended up sitting on their bikes and chatting for over two hours.<\/p>\n

We did our shoot near Ron’s apartment in the East Village. From there, Florencia has an easy ride up 1st Ave, and Ron shoots over the Manhattan Bridge to his office in downtown Brooklyn. He gets to leave his bike in the underground garage, next to the DA’s car.<\/p>\n
